Experienced Cloud Architect at Your Service

In my journey to becoming a Cloud Architect, I've traversed the technology world. After obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, I worked as a System Reliability Engineer (SRE) for 2 years at ADP where I created secure, reliable systems to automate the application deployment and observability process. Towards the end of my time at ADP, I enrolled in both Grad school at Georgia Tech, majoring in Computer science, as well as a Postgraduate Degree program in Cloud Computing at the University of Texas at Austin where I discovered a passion for "the cloud". Soon after this, I started my role as an Associate Solutions Architect for Amazon Web Services (AWS) where I'm currently focused on improving my cloud knowledge for the purpose of creating AWS Well-Architected cloud systems.

My career journey:
My personal life:

I grew up 30 minutes outside of Atlanta, Georgia in a town called Peachtree City before moving to Starkville, Mississippi for my undergrad degree. After graduating, I returned to Atlanta and worked for 2 years until receiving a job offer from AWS. Now, I'm happily living in Arlington, Virginia with my fiancé, Hannah, and 2 cats. I enjoy anything that involves the outdoors and love college football. On the weekends, I'm likely with Hannah in Georgetown, enjoying a Royal Palm Bagel from Call Your Mother or watching Georgia Tech win (rarely) in Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Professional Experience

  • Developed and monitored systems, software, and cloud architecture

  • Applied Dynatrace to spot negative trends and discover problem areas.

Projects

Fedex "EzPST"

Mississippi State University - 2022

  • Mobile and web interface for FedEx shipping hubs

  • The mobile version gives ground employees the opportunity to scan bar codes of packages lost within shipping hubs. Then relays the information from the bar code to Data Sheets that can be viewed by managers in the Web Interface. Presented the project directly to FedEx via Zoom, implementing ideas that they liked and removing features they disliked.

Movie Recommending Chatbot

Mississippi State University - 2022

  • AI Chat Bot that recommends movies based on user input such as genre, date of release, actors, etc

  • Used Flask library to collaboratively use Python, HTML, CSS, and Javascript. A chat bot interface was prepared using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Python would take input from the chat bot and utilize a WebCrawler with Beautiful Soup applying a Depth First Search through IMDB’s database to discover movie information and output movie recommendations to another webpage.
